I have spent more than 35 years teaching responsible citizens how to handle a firearm — and how to decide when not to.

Owning a gun is not the same as being prepared. Preparation is safety, judgment, law, and skill, practiced until they hold under stress. That is why the academy exists.

I teach on a private outdoor range in Orangeburg County, South Carolina. First-time owners and people who have carried for decades get the same standard: patient, direct, no theater.
