OUTDOOR RANGE SAFETY RULES

Safety is not optional. If you cannot follow these rules, you do not shoot here.

THE FOUR RULES — ALWAYS

1. Treat every firearm as if it is loaded.
2. Never point a firearm at anything you are not willing to destroy.
3. Keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are on the target and you have made the decision to fire.
4. Know your target, what is in front of it, and what is beyond it.

ON THIS RANGE

1. Eye and ear protection are required for everyone on the line — shooters and observers.
2. Firearms stay holstered, cased, or pointed downrange at the designated targets. Muzzles stay inside the berm.
3. Do not handle firearms behind the firing line. Load, unload, and make ready only on the line, on command.
4. When the line is cold, all firearms are unloaded, actions open, magazines out, and grounded or holstered as directed. No one touches a gun until the line is called hot.
5. Cease fire means stop now. Finger off the trigger. Muzzle downrange. Wait for instruction.
6. Do not go forward of the firing line until the range is called cold and you are released.
7. Shoot only at the target directly in front of you. No cross-firing. No shooting over, around, or into the berm sides.
8. No drawing from the holster, movement, or unconventional positions unless an instructor has authorized it for that hour.
9. No rapid fire that you cannot keep on target. Hits belong on the target, not the dirt, the trees, or the sky.
10. If a firearm malfunctions, keep it pointed downrange and raise your support hand. Do not turn around with a gun in your hand.
11. No alcohol, cannabis, or impairing drugs before or during range use. If we believe you are impaired, you leave.
12. No smoking anywhere on the range.
13. No eating on the range. Water or soda is allowed. Keep drinks behind the firing line and off the shooting benches when guns are being handled.
14. You clean up after yourself. Brass, bottles, targets, and trash leave with you or go in the designated cans before you go. Leave the range better than you found it.
15. No tracer, armor-piercing, steel-core, or incendiary ammunition. Factory or known-quality ammunition only.
16. Children are the adult’s responsibility. They follow the same rules. If they cannot, they leave the line.
17. The Range Safety Officer or instructor has final authority. Argument is not a safety plan.

TWO-STRIKE RULE

A safety warning is a strike.

Strike one: You are stopped, corrected, and allowed to continue only if the instructor believes it is safe.

Strike two: You are done for that rental or session. You leave the range immediately.

There is no third chance.
There is no refund — not for the hour, the extra shooter fee, or unused time.

Willful or dangerous violations (muzzle on a person, finger on the trigger off target, handling a gun during a cold range, ignoring a cease fire) may skip strike one. You can be removed on the first offense.
